Two public texts. Paper I is the legal and technical spine, now including an explicit crosswalk to RightsStatements.org, HathiTrust, Creative Commons and the EUIPO out-of-commerce works system, a prior-art and claimed-contribution statement, a full sources list, canonical evidence, review, authority and challenge fields, and a governance model. Paper II is the provenance addendum specifying PD-V and COMP-X, with its own sourced claims about the reprint trade. Do not treat older internal drafts as the public canon.

Limitations This proposal does not establish a new international right, determine copyright status authoritatively, replace national law, guarantee the accuracy of a node's assertion, or make commercial reproduction lawful merely because a record exists.

Printing Right Attribution (PRA)

A print-facing protocol for documenting the rights basis of reprints. Three instruments (Source A deed, Source B national licence, interoperable protocol) plus a crosswalk to existing rights-information systems, canonical evidence and authority fields, a governance model, and pilot design.

Paper II · provenance addendum

Lost provenance and two proposed status marks

PD-V and COMP-X as proposed industry marks. The reprint-trade gap those marks make visible, and the case for an inspectable, component-level verso.
